Agnihotra for Healing the Atmosphere.

What is Agnihotra?

Agnihotra Meditation

Agnihotra for Healing the Atmosphere. Agnihotra is an Ayurveda Homa (fire) practice that purifies and heals the atmosphere. It has been scientifically proven to reverse pollution. This healing fire comes from the ancient science of Ayurveda. Agnihotra purifies the atmosphere through a specially prepared fire in a copper pyramid performed at sunrise and sunset daily. In healing the planet, Agnihotra also heals people.

Word meaning:(Agni) is a Sanskrit word that means fire (Hotra) means offering.

Agnihotra isn’t affiliated with any religion. Any person from any faith, or no faith, can do this practice daily to live healthier and happier lives.

Agnihotra and Homa Therapy is offered FREE at my center, as this purification practice is a gift for all mankind.

My Path to Agnihotra

Agnihotra is a priority in my daily life. I teach about the environment and the climate crisis; as part of my duties as the caretaker of Shanti Atlanta in Conyers, GA.  Traveling to teach Agnihotra in other states is something I will be doing this year. It’s crucial to connect with as many people as possible, especially those in at-risk and low-income neighborhoods, who have limited access to climate change information and community resources. I also am a certified Ayurveda Stress Therapist and run Shanti Atlanta Ayurveda Stress Clinic. I received my certification from Shanti Villa Institute.

I learned this ancient Vedic Science practice from my teacher, Sri Charles Davis. I’ve been his student for eight years. Sri Charles is the founder of Shanti Villa Institute and The Heal Atmosphere Association in Tuskegee, AL. Shanti Villa Institute is an Ayurveda Medicine school, eco-center, and Homa farm. Sri Charles has been teaching Agnihotra, Homa Therapy, and environmental stewardship since the 1970s. His mission is to teach people how to preserve and heal the environment. Shanti Atlanta is an extension of Shanti Villa Institute.

I regularly attend training sessions with Sri Charles at his 13-acre farm in Tuskegee, AL, to learn as much as I can about Agnihotra, Homa Therapy, and other Ayurveda medicine practices. He’s an excellent teacher: wise, humble, and very knowledgeable about many scientific, spiritual, herbal, and environmental subjects.

I love Agnihotra. There is scientific evidence that it heals the atmosphere! Science applies to everyone, no matter the belief system they have. Scroll down for more details and links to scientific studies.

Learn more about Agnihotra at Vishwa Foundation  and this Agnihotra info site:

The Vishwa Foundation. It’s a nonprofit medical, health and wellness center, and Homa farm located in Solapur, India, that teaches environmental awareness and Agnihotra. Dr. Purushottamo runs the foundation. He’s the grandson of the Kalki Avatar, Paramsadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj. The Kalki Avatar was a Yogi that revived Agnihotra to the modern world, and the U.S.  The Avatar, Paramsadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj, was Shree Vasant Paranjpe’s teacher. And Shree Vasant was Sri Charles’ teacher. I was fortunate to attend a teaching of Dr. Purushottam’s when he visited Atlanta recently. Our group plans to visit his center soon.

What Agnihotra Has Done For Me

Agnihotra Meditation for Healing the Atmosphere

Practicing Agnihotra has changed my life profoundly. I live each day with the highest purpose, and enjoy teaching others how to live balanced, happy lives.  This practice has benefited me spiritually and physically. I have increased energy, clearer thinking, healed a health condition, and the animals and trees around me have flourished abundantly. I even see bees and other rare animals not typically seen in Conyers, GA. Nature rejoices when Agnihotra is performed regularly! My friends that practice Agnihotra report similar experiences.

I can’t begin to convey how much that Agnihotra has changed my life for the best. I feel like a new woman and more connected to The Creator and nature than ever before. The energy of nature has tapped deeply into my spirit, and I am humbled to be an active spiritual part of the circle of healing and renewal of the Earth.

Agnihotra Scientific Studies: Vedic Scientific Solution to Pollution

As an environmentalist, I’m happy to be practicing Agnihotra since it’ a natural and powerful way to combat pollution. Knowing that there is a simple solution to climate change that I do every day is empowering. I’m directly involved with resetting nature to its proper order.  The Vedic science of Agnihotra and Homa Therapy conclusively shows through scientific studies that the atmosphere is cleansed with this practice.

The ashes from the Agnihotra is exceptionally beneficial for crops and plants and reverses plant disease. A portion of the Amazon Rain Forest was restored after being  riddled with Black Sigatoka plant disease, through the performance of Agnihotra and Homa Farming, (farming using the ashes of Agnihotra practice.)

Five types of gases are produced from Agnihotra. They are:

  • Ethylene Oxide
  • Propylene Oxide
  • Formaldehyde
  • Butapropiolactone
  • Acetylene

Scientific Studies Show Agnihotra and Homa Farming:

  • Decreases microbes in the air
  • Reduces SO2 air pollution
  • Kills bacteria
  • Purifies water
  • Makes plants grow faster(excellent natural fertilizer)
  • Reduces skin diseases in animals and humans.
  • Increases plant yield
  • Cuts harvest time in half

*Studies also show the effectiveness of using for treatment of addiction and PTSD. *

There are a lot of other environmental benefits!

Agnihotra: Cleaning the Atmosphere, Climate Change, and Global Warming

Agnihotra Meditation for Healing the Atmosphere

It’s vital to perform Agnihotra while also:

  • Recycling and repurposing waste
  • Reducing waste generated
  • Reducing the use of fossil fuels
  • Reducing the use of plastics, esp. single-use plastic
  • Eliminating toxins produced from conventional agricultural farming

And there is a long list of other green environmental activities to adopt. But none of this will make a big difference in healing the environment if everyone around the world doesn’t work together to restore the planet.  The planet is off its tilt. Earth’s biorhythm–the rhythm of nature based on the scientific principle of man, microbes, flora, fauna, has been altered. When one of these things listed is off, then it affects everything else. That’s because everything is connected.

The condition of our planet has been studied extensively by the U.S. government. Just read the 2018 Fourth U.S. National Climate Assessment Study conducted by NASA, The EPA, The Dept. of Interior, The Dept. of Agriculture, The Department of Energy, The Smithsonian Institute, and more than 300 public and private organizations.

The 2014 Climate Assessment study here that I link to below quotes, multiple lines of independent evidence confirm that human activities are the primary cause of the global warming of the past 50 years.”  The 2014 and 2018 reports are based on scientific peer-reviewed research.

It’s vitally important that Agnihotra is done in at-risk communities that suffer the most from the climate crisis, due to access to resources! Agnihotra will clean up pollution, drug addiction, crime, family violence, and other community issues. If you live in or have access to a low-income neighborhood, please contact me so I can help you set up Agnihotra for the residents. Agnihotra is something families, and the entire community can do together.

U.S. Fourth National Climate Assessment pg 103 Vulnerable Populations

Quotes from the 2018 study, page 103,  pictured above:

Communities of Color

“Some communities of color living in risk-prone areas face cumulative exposure to multiple pollutants.”

Low-Income Communities

“Low-income families are at risk of physical and mental illnesses during flooding and in crowded shelter conditions.”

Older Adults

” Older adults are vulnerable to extreme events that cause power outages or require evacuation.”

Children

“Children have a higher risk of heatstroke and illness than adults.”

Not sure why the seriousness of the climate issues isn’t on breaking news every night and declared as a national emergency.  To all the folks out there that say humans aren’t causing climate change: YOU ARE VERY MUCH MISTAKEN.
